BOROUGH OF DONORA, PENNSYLVANIA
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS – MUNICIPAL CAMERA SYSTEM UPGRADE (OVERVIEW CAMERAS ONLY)
Notice is hereby given that the Borough of Donora is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified vendors for the upgrade and modernization of the Borough’s municipal overview camera system. This project includes the replacement and enhancement of existing PTZ and fixed camera units, associated network infrastructure, video management systems, storage solutions, installation, testing, and training.
Automated License Plate Readers (ALPR) are not included in this solicitation and will be procured separately through a national PlateSMART provider.
The Borough’s current system consists of nineteen (19) large PTZ cameras, three (3) small PTZ cameras, five (5) cameras equipped with microphone audio, and twenty-three (23) stationary unidirectional cameras. Vendors are encouraged to propose not only replacement of existing equipment but also additional cameras, expanded coverage areas, enhanced technologies, and infrastructure improvements where such expansions would provide meaningful operational or public‑safety benefits. The selected vendor will provide a turnkey solution including design, equipment, installation, configuration, documentation, and warranty support.

Proposals must be submitted in sealed form, clearly marked “RFP – Municipal Camera System Upgrade (Overview Cameras)”, and delivered to the Borough Office no later than:
Wednesday, June 10, 2026, 2026 at 4:00 PM.
The Borough reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive irregularities, or negotiate terms in the best interest of the Borough.
