SALE OF BOROUGH-OWNED REAL PROPERTY
VACANT LOT – 700 MELDON AVENUE
WASHINGTON COUNTY TAX PARCEL NO. 240-013-00-06-0004-01
The Borough of Donora, Washington County, Pennsylvania, hereby gives public notice that it is accepting sealed bids for the purchase of Borough-owned real property consisting of a vacant lot located at: 700 Meldon Avenue, Donora, Pennsylvania 15033, Washington County Tax Parcel No. 240-013-00-06-0004-01.
A minimum reserve bid of $260,000.00 has been established for the property.
The minimum reserve bid reflects the property’s 2026 appraised value, together with the cost incurred by the Borough for the appraisal and anticipated costs and fees associated with closing the sale.
Bids submitted for less than $260,000.00 will not be considered.
All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked: “SEALED BID – 700 MELDON AVENUE PROPERTY”
Sealed bids shall be delivered to the Borough of Donora Municipal Building in accordance with the Borough’s bid submission requirements.
Each bid should clearly identify the bidder’s name, mailing address, telephone number, proposed purchase price, and any other information required by the Borough.
All sealed bid proposals must be received at the Donora Borough Municipal Building no later than 12:00 PM (Noon) on Thursday, November 12, 2026
All sealed bid proposals received by the Borough will be publicly opened and read aloud during the regularly scheduled meeting of Donora Borough Council on:
Thursday, November 12, 2026 at 6:00 P.M. The meeting will be held at the Donora Borough Municipal Building, 603 Meldon Avenue, Donora, Pennsylvania 15033.
The sale of the property shall be subject to formal approval by Donora Borough Council and compliance with all applicable requirements governing the disposition of Borough-owned real property.
The Borough of Donora reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive any informalities or irregularities in the bidding process to the extent permitted by law, and to accept the bid determined to be in the best interests of the Borough.
The successful bidder shall be responsible for all applicable costs associated with the transfer and closing of the property except as otherwise expressly agreed to by the Borough.
